Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is an actor best known for playing Bo on The Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk, a professor and Peter Silk who was known as an accomplished actor, director as well as a playwright, producer, director of education, and educator at Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's early memories were of going to play rehearsals as well as watching her mother do the work. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still in the midst of her childhood. In 1997, she received an associate's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk made the move to Toronto to pursue her acting skills in November 1999. She later, in the next decade, she moved from Toronto to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she saw him in 2007 during an acting workshop in Los Angeles. The couple was married civilly in December 2009. They renewed their vows on April 10th, 2011 in Fredericton, after the woman had converted to Judaism. Silk gave birth to an infant son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. The second son of hers, Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk is well-known for her role on television as Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009 she was recognized by her fellow actors for Gemini Awards. As of 2009, Silk was hired as the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during filming the finale of the third series. The actress announced her baby's pregnancy to viewers during her Showcase Season Three pre-show special that aired on January 6, 2013. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season. Then on the 20th of June 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she would be returning to the set of the show. Silk's portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers on Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top TV Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) and voted the most popular Television Couple of 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is a popular show on social media.
