Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is the author of a wide range of research publications as well as numerous grants to her name she is also the winner of numerous national and global prizes. She has consulted with numerous organizations and government officials across the globe on policy as well as research on children who are victims of the justice system. She is consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member and International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
